Katherine Jacobsen Associate, Birch Lake Associates, LLC
Katherine Jacobsen is an accomplished member of deal teams and client engagements across capital markets and financial restructurings. Her responsibilities at Birch Lake include identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities and client engagements, performing transaction due diligence, and working with management teams to implement operational, growth, and other value-creating strategies.
Prior to joining Birch Lake, Katherine was a consultant with EY’s Turnaround and Restructuring practice where she helped clients evaluate capital options, improve liquidity and credit availability and achieve strategic objectives. Previously, Katherine was an associate in the Corporate Client Banking team at J.P. Morgan, where she focused on client coverage, debt structuring, and capital raising transactions.
Katherine is active in women’s networks across the investment and restructuring communities including Women’s Association of Venture & Equity and International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation. Katherine is also active in the Association for Corporate Growth, Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, CFA Society Chicago, and the Turnaround Management Association.
Katherine is a CFA Charterholder. She earned an A.B. in Economics from the University of Chicago and her M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
