Joe Robinson Managing Director, Birch Lake Associates, LLC
Joe is a Managing Director at Birch Lake and a member of the Investment Committee. He joined Birch Lake with nearly two decades of deal experience and a successful track record of creative solutions for business entrepreneurs, investors and management teams using methodical, data-driven processes to deliver results. Joe has led and/or contributed to transactions with an aggregate value of ~$8 billion at Lincoln International, Houlihan Lokey and William Blair & Company. His leadership and team building styles are grounded in his experiences as a competitive intercollegiate athlete.
At Birch Lake, Joe will help lead the firm’s advisory relationships, which are the foundation for Birch Lake’s competitive edge as a merchant bank by providing early access to investment opportunities. Leveraging deep industry knowledge, particularly in industrials, technology and real estate, he will focus on delivering strategic advice and capital raising to implement value accretive and tailored, client friendly solutions in complex and time-sensitive situations.
Joe is committed to making a meaningful difference through community engagement and innovative leadership. He is a current member, and a founding Co-Chair, of the Impact Council for A Better Chicago, a venture philanthropy that invests in promising nonprofits helping children escape poverty. Joe earned an A.B. from Princeton University and his Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
